Hello Internet, This day has been a long time coming, but... I am proud to present to you "Rose Festival," an anime style board game. Fill the Garden with roses! I've had the thumbnail on the homepage for quite a long time, but the page wasn't ready. Now it's at a good enough place to show the world. For those of you familiar with my old Kickstarter project, "The Heart of Dorian-Gray," you'll notice the artwork is from there. You can sometimes find gold in the ashes of failure.
This Anime, Board Game is not yet published. I'll let you know when it is. With the release of "Cyan Chase" and "Butterfly Kisses EP01" this month, this isn't my top priority to finish right now. Thank you in advance for the patience! That's all, ~Rox

After so many months... so many blogs... the most time consuming part of the journey is done. Warrick is now ready to start being programmed.... must need to... one more thing.... *collapses* For the first time, I attempt to fully render black hair. Actually, no. I've tried to render anime, black hair before, but this is the first time I've rendered it this way. Enjoy! Basically, the video where we focus a lot on Warrick's butt. Finally! We're finishing some poses for Warrick today! Man, does it feel good! Just 3-ish more left after this one! Hahahaha! :D I have said in the beginning that once I have finished the poses for Warrick and Auferre, and redone the game engine and the UI/UX of the game, that I'd finally announce the restart of the visual novel's development. Well, game engine is done ( I think), and Warrick is going to be done in the next day or so. Things are almost half way done. Yaya! Progress Yesterday, I showed you one way of lighting and shading Warrick's hair. Today, I show about 5 variations on the method. You should follow the method that follows the vision you want for your series to look. For instance, you could have just stopped at 2 layers of shading instead of doing what I did and added 4 more layers of light. Your choice. This is a very focused video on one style of rendering anime hair. We'll only cover one pose for Warrick this time. Feel free to try rendering out some hair yourself. After a long time, I pick up the "Remaking Warrick" series and get this Red Prince closer to completion. I'll be working on just shading 1 layer of his clothes for 8 poses in this one. Also, you can see the jump in quality with his character design. I did a lot of studying. We keep going with finishing up the lighting and adding a Decal to Warrick's 8 new poses. Even I was skeptical at first where he'd end up, but he's really starting to shine with just a whole bunch of elbow grease put into his design. Though, this has been a really long and hard visual novel character to make.... Wow. It's been over a month since my last update. I apologize for that. Moving and dealing with a new area has been a hassle. Also, been working on a lot of things behind the scenes. Even created a new app game for google play for this series. It's called "Mahou Shoujo Anime Director VN" (long name, isn't it?) and you can check it out on the "Games" page of this site.
Anyways, for your patience, I wanted to reward you. Each episode will have it's own unique cover. Here are the ones for the first 6. Now remember, I'm remaking this entire series so I don't have any updated game files. Rest assured, A Long Journey VN is still under development. In fact, check out that game's page to see the updates I've made to it. It has a better user flow now (hopefully). Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions. Other than that, enjoy! |
