Hello Internet,
How are ya? Have you found random, large outlet mall about 10 minutes away from your house? Well, have you checked? Turns out, there was one for me. I wished I explored more. It's been there for over two years. lol. Anyways, I've been super busy with writing. I know I said I was done with the Chase series, but I then I learned how to build moments, and I just had to redo large parts of the story. I've booked some time with an Agent at the end of the month, so maybe things will work out. The newest editions of "Azure Chase" and "Lavender Chase" will be held up until further notice. Now, I'm working on "Butterfly Kisses" the web manga. Lots of initial friction, but I'm slowly getting back into the flow. It's been a while so I'm trying to remember how to draw again. It's taking a while and it is stressful. Also, anyone coming to the #BFGCon which is the Big Frederick Gaming Convention, I'll see you there. Hoping to make some new friends to help with creating board games. Okay. I'm tired. Night, ~Rox

Hello Internet! With warm wishes, I would like to introduce to you the latest project to come out of the Studio: "Rose Festival" the anime-theme, rose garden board game. It has all the mechanics I've wanted to put in there finally. Feel free to comment on this blog or reach out to me on twitter for any ideas/feedback. I just want to give a quick shout out to all of you who have been following along with the developments of this game. Thanks for your patience. Now, you can finally see what it's all about. Bye! ~Rox Hello Internet, This day has been a long time coming, but... I am proud to present to you "Rose Festival," an anime style board game. Fill the Garden with roses! I've had the thumbnail on the homepage for quite a long time, but the page wasn't ready. Now it's at a good enough place to show the world. For those of you familiar with my old Kickstarter project, "The Heart of Dorian-Gray," you'll notice the artwork is from there. You can sometimes find gold in the ashes of failure.
This Anime, Board Game is not yet published. I'll let you know when it is. With the release of "Cyan Chase" and "Butterfly Kisses EP01" this month, this isn't my top priority to finish right now. Thank you in advance for the patience! That's all, ~Rox Howdy Internet, Here's yet another update for the website. The About page is getting more and more mature. Once I've got some more time, I'll start adding in some graphics to the headers of these three main pages. There are some placeholder thumbnail images for the home page, and I'll update them in time. Its gonna take so long to make those covers... hahaha... in the other projects, I had some idea of how to present those stories. On these, I've got to give myself some time to think of something. Story Story Progress: I've had my first round of professional editing done for the story called "Red Chase." I wanted to explore the theme of a monster doomed by its own power and what could happen if someone tried to save it from itself. I have to say, it is totally worth getting someone who is trained to edit look at your writing before you publish. I have learned so much from my editor. I'm also taking some online classes in pulp fiction writing. "Pink Chase" is a more classical horror themed short story that focuses on the corruption of heroes (AKA turning a good guy into a bad guy). The twist is kinda interesting. I won't spoil it here. Rose Festival Progress: The box and board game in this week. I'm happy with the box, but not sure about the board design. It really should be playtested, but I have to get the card designs nailed down and finish with this 3rd revision of the rules document. Have I ever said how hard it is to write an instructional document on your own board game? Like, gee-willikers! It's tough! That's it for now, until next time!
~Roxana Hello all,
Still working on content and making sure the basics of this website are super spiffy (like that about page, ugh). Working on the fonts and making sure each project has a description. Once I'm done with these three pages, I'll move on to the other pages and make them nicer. Something you'll notice is that when you hover over an image, a little Pinterest button should appear. That is the social media platform of my choice for this universe. Now, you can share images from the site even more easily! As for project updates, Rose Festival is getting closer to completion. The packaging is finally getting to the point that I want it, yet I'm working on writing rules. It is surprisingly, the most difficult writing assignment I've ever done. The "Chase" short stories are proceeding along nicely. By next month, I should have one of the stories done. Unfortunately, it won't be the first one, so I can't exactly publish it. Well, gotta move, ~Roxana |
