Before I give you the link to play it, comment below if you think this is going to play out well. ^-^ Now here’s the link! //Development Stories Man, it feels unreal actually getting to release episode 2. Most people don’t know this, but I’ve been working of this series 3 years before ever releasing a pre-alpha. The last version of episode 1 was the first time I actually created a video game that was close to what I was expecting. It was fun and a little rough getting back the comments. Luckily, none of the comments were too bad, but I felt that I let a lot of people down. I’ve been working and reworking to get the details right. The biggest thing I learned from game development, is that anyone can make an awesome game, but can you do it in a constrained timeline, consistently? That’s what I struggle with. Creating a system or a template speeds up the progress from what you did last time, however, details matter, and details suck up time. I mean, I spent 9 hours last night on the tiniest of fixes. But details are when emotions resonate with the player. Just a little bit of joy, or rage, or sadness can go a long way. I remember playing “Tales of Symphonia” and there was a character by the name of Genus that I never really cared for. He seemed like typical kid sidekick to me. At one point, you truly understand the stuff this young kid’s been through, and the fact that he can still be a kid, still want to be good, after all of that always stuck with me. Or even the part when… well, that’s a spoiler. >:D And part of it was my inexperience with designing in details. I actually thought I could make two games at the same time (my other was Dorian-Gray VN), but it just ended up degrading the current project. So this is going to be the only one I work on for quite a while. Remember, this is just an alpha version. There may be bugs, and I know that the difference in artwork between the main actors and the supporting cast. //Next Updates Episode 3 is in the works already! My composer Elias Luukanen has created a beautiful score of songs to be used in the series, and two brand new ones will be coming out with the next episode. Be sure to follow that guy as he is amazing at what he does! The Release for Episode 2 is coming closer every day. I plan on releasing it in a few days. Expect to see a better quality of gameplay, with smoother coding and more refined story.
