Now to start creating the sprite sheet that gets put into the game. Hooray!!1 The end is neigh!
And now for the final pose set! The solid, fighting stances.
Now Auferre is a fighter. In the visual novel, she has to fight some folks, well, why doesn't she have any battle poses? Let's fix that in this video. What starts out as an idea quickly doodled, turns into this final illustration.
I've gotten to the point where I don't feel like putting anything pertinent to this update video in this blog. Hahaha. Happy day folks!
When an alien space ship falls in front of you, you make this pose...
As every artist must go through this: the struggle is real. Sometimes you're drawing your visual novel character, and you can't figure out what do. That's why, taking a break is the most productive thing you can do sometimes (just don't take a year long break).
Taking down another pose for Auferre. This time focusing on just the hands up in the air.
I decided to add an extra pose, so here's a quick video that went through it. Auferre needed this guard pose.
It seems high time to start remaking Auferre. So grab your worksheet and play along (found in the previous blog post)! We'll be focusing on the emotional content of this character for this series.
Hello! What is up drama alert natio- ah fuggettaboutdit. I thought I would make a charismatic intro but then I lost interest half-way through.
Anyways, tomorrow, or in a few days, I'll be introducing a new video series on my youtube channel for starting on Auferre's design. The difference is is that this will be an interactive character design series. Below is the worksheet that I will start the video series from and you can choose to experiment as well. Just download the file and see if everything works well.
Or you can not. That's fine too. I like to make these videos as both update logs and also as relaxing working podcast that you can do your own work along too.
Oh, hey, how do you like this new direction for Auferre? I have a new plan for her now for A Long Journey. Instead of being a hero, she's an ex-hero. That's all I will reveal now.
