Hello Internet,

Just wanted to give you a heads up. I hit my second round of editing deadline (which was today) and have sent it off to get a copy edit. Once that's done (which was ordered to be finished by Sunday afternoon) I'll do a quick review, and then launch it as soon as possible.

For the first time, I'm actually hitting a declared deadline. WOO HOO! *gives self high five* *gives anyone else who's reading this a high five* After a few more of these, I might be ready to head back to working on my "A Long Journey VN."

Anyways, in case if you guys were getting antsy. "Pink Chase" will be released this month. Its definitely a lot stronger in terms of writing and execution than "Red Chase" was, and the next short stories are only going to get better. Speaking of better, I also found that the default typesetting that happens to word files when uploaded to Amazon can be improved in a free software provided by Amazon called Kindle Create. What this means is when you guys open it up in an eBook reader, the text should look better. I tested it in their previewer and it might be okay... I may have to play around with this. If that doesn't work, I'll try Calibre for eBook conversions.

Hello Internet!

Jolly good news to share - I have finished the complete first draft of my final shorty story, Cyan Chase! What this means is that these stories will be coming out for sure! In the past, like with my Visual Novel series, I used to say a number but never actually make that exact amount. I would have to cut it short. When I released stuff then, I'd be happy I published at least part of the story, but I'd wish it was the complete set.

Well, for the "Chase" short stories, I decided that whatever short stories were completely drafted by the end of July were the only ones that I would pursue or I'd jeopardize them all. This time around, I guess since I've learned to focus better and really apply my time well, I managed to finish this draft yesterday! Hooray! I'm glad that I can present the entire set of short stories to you guys.

With that being said, my distractions and guilt have evaporated and I can fully focus on a weekend of developmental edits for Pink Chase, Lavender Chase, and Azure Chase.

I just wanted to share my elation with you guys. Lol. Have a good one,

Woah, internet, dudes... I have... leveled up so much in my writing skills since the last update... like... actually sitting down, trying to understand new concepts in writing, and actually doing the homework in the book. I feel like I've leveled up from LV13 in writing, to at least level LV27 (on the pokemon scale). You'll be noticing my newer works will now have a better emotional impact. I mean, Donald Maass's book "The Emotional Craft of Fiction" has given me so much more technique insight than any developmental editor so I've had so far (not to say I didn't learn from them; just I didn't learn as much). So the last short story in the "Chase" series - "Cyan Chase" - literally has passages that are mostly created from that book. It is night and day compared to the dreary thing I was imagining to this awesome thing I've created. It was difficult as all heck too, because like I said, the concepts in that book were so above my level...

Man... I haven't flexed my brain this hard in so long... Anyways, I thought I would share this with you guys. I'm just really happy I got the breakthrough book I was looking for (plus the pulp-fiction class I took before). I'll be revising all my current drafts to have more of those emotional moments from that book I read.

As for updates, I've noticed a lot of traffic to the website. Seems like there is some excitement for the next short story. Due to your interest, I'll make sure that it is released this month.

Hello Internet,

Here is yet another progress update on my work. I've been working heavily on three things this week: web content, profile pics, and the short stories.

In the process of reconstruction, I've been working hard on making a standard template for all the projects to follow, or at least the ones that are story based. The descriptions about the series is getting more and more fleshed out and clearer/more enticing to read.  Then comes the actual page layout (the UX/UI part) with making sure the details (like character profiles, settings, features of the product) are laid out in the most flowing way possible. "Butterfly Kisses" is taking quite a long time to release because it will be a much longer project than the short stories I'm currently writing. I've also been working on the marketing page for the "Chase" short stories. You can see some of those changes now.

A picture can be pretty powerful, and in this modern age, they are a standard asset. So here's the character profile pics for the case of the "Chase" short story series. You all get to see the incubus's tongue. It's pretty long, ain't it?

I'm also making another seven profile pics for "Butterfly Kisses." It has been a busy week trying to finish. I'm still not done.

Hope you're having a good summer. I sure have. In this update, I'd like to introduce the remaining book covers for the "Chase" Short stories. Now you can see some of the character designs of the incubus and the last succubus. These are for the stories "Crimson Chase" and "Azure Chase" and "Cyan Chase." You guys can see the entire collection on the "Chase" Short stories page. I've even updated the UX/UI of the page to have less scrolling.

I still have some more work cut out on that webpage. For instance, I've got some profile pics I'd like to add to the characters. The copy on that page needs some more work. I might do some more UI work.

Now, as for the short stories themselves, I'll have two more stories developmental edited by July 16th (that is "Lavender Chase" and "Azure Chase"). I'm sill on track to have "Pink Chase" this month. I'm just a bit nervous looking at what the editor has written about it. I'll get on it as soon as the profile sketches are finished.

"Butterfly Kisses" is going to have some more work done before I introduce that page. I'll keep you all updated.

July has come around and in this month, a new succubus, short story will be released. That exact day... is TBD. It should be in this month. The editor did finish. I just need to work up the nerve to finish reading the criticism. That story is "Pink Chase."
     Editing wise, I have two stories -- "Lavender Chase" and "Azure Chase" -- currently getting developmental edits. Both are incubus short stories. I've got to say, getting an editor takes a good week. However, the feedback and discussion they ask really though provoking questions. Its really helped deepen my understanding of the characters and improve the execution of sentences. Also, this series is as mature as the stories will get. Stretching my limits and doing something new (normally, my work isn't as sensual), has helped me learn about how the other projects are completely different than this one. If the craft of story is part of your project, I would really invest a lot into writing. Reading books, practicing, getting editors - all of these things just really leveling up your skill. Without a high enough skill level, your work will just keep hitting a wall. It will fall flat.
       I'm going to be focusing on these three stories and making sure they are written well before moving onto "Crimson Chase" (a little bit longer short story) and "Cyan Chase" (short story).
        I'll keep you guys in the loop.

This project is part of the reason why there is a delay on the Chase Short Stories. Been doing major work on some illustrations and trying to get a page up and running. I'll be spending about three more days super focused on finishing the illustrations before going back to writing.
